Verbito

Free AI Prompt Scorer

Paste any prompt for ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini and get an instant score out of 100 across seven dimensions, with the exact fixes that would raise it. Works in English and Arabic.

What is a Prompt Score?

A prompt score measures how much of what an AI model needs your prompt actually provides. Vague prompts get generic answers, not because the model is weak but because it has to guess the audience, the goal, the format and the length. Verbito scores your own prompt on the same seven dimensions it uses for the prompts it generates: clarity, context, specificity, constraints, output format, reusability and token efficiency. The scorer is rule-based: every point comes from something visible in your text, such as a stated audience, a length limit or an example, so the fixes are concrete. It runs entirely in your browser, so your prompt is not sent anywhere and it does not use a generation.

How to use the Free AI Prompt Scorer

  1. Paste your prompt. Paste the prompt you would normally send to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or another AI model.
  2. Read the score and the fixes. The score updates as you type. Each missing element comes with a one-line fix, most important first.
  3. Improve it in one click. Send the prompt to the Verbito generator to get a fully structured version, and compare the two scores.

Best practices

  • State the task with an action verb: write, explain, compare, summarize, plan, review.
  • Say who the result is for. The same answer written for a beginner and for an expert should look different.
  • Add one line of context: your situation and what the result will be used for.
  • Name the output format (a table, 5 bullet points, an email with a subject line) and a length limit.
  • Replace vague words like "something", "things" and "good" with the specific thing you mean.
  • Avoid "tell me everything": ask for the few points that matter for your goal.

Tips

  • Scores of 80 and above usually mean the model has what it needs; below 40 the answer will likely be generic.
  • Placeholders like [PRODUCT] or {audience} raise reusability, because the prompt becomes a template you can run again.
  • A length limit raises token efficiency: bounded answers are shorter, faster and cheaper.
  • Arabic prompts are scored on the same scale, including Arabic-Indic numerals such as ١٥٠.
  • The score checks structure, not truth. A well-structured prompt can still ask for the wrong thing, so read the output critically.
  • Verbito-generated prompts are graded by AI in the generator; this scorer grades the prompt you wrote, so you can see the difference before and after.

Examples

Weak: about 33/100

"Write me a marketing email." It has a task, but no audience, no context, no format, no length and no specifics.

Better: about 53/100

"Write a LinkedIn post about our new CRM feature for small business owners. Keep it friendly." Audience, topic and tone, but no goal, format or length.

Strong: 90+

A role, a named product, a specific audience, the goal, the exact parts to include, a length limit, things to avoid, the tone and an example line.

Arabic works too

"اكتبلي حاجة عن التسويق" scores around 30; a brief with an audience, a goal, required parts and "أقل من ١٥٠ كلمة" scores above 90.

Watch it in 30 seconds

  • This prompt scores 28 out of 100: "Tell me everything about marketing" scores 28 in the free Prompt Scorer, with the reasons and one-line fixes. Verbito's rewrite of the same prompt scored 87.
  • Three fixes: from 34 to 82: A LinkedIn post prompt scored live after each fix: say who it is for (34 to 44), give the goal (54), then set the format and length (82).

Frequently asked questions

How is the prompt score calculated?
Your prompt is scored from 0 to 100 on seven dimensions (clarity, context, specificity, constraints, output format, reusability and token efficiency), and the overall score is their average. Each dimension rises with visible signals in your text, such as a clear task, a stated audience, a length limit, an output format, concrete details or an example, and falls with vague words or requests for "everything".
Is my prompt sent to a server or stored?
No. The scorer runs entirely in your browser. Your prompt is only sent to Verbito if you choose to improve it with the generator.
What is a good prompt score?
Aim for 80 or more. Between 60 and 80 the prompt works but leaves the model guessing about something; below 40 you will usually get a generic answer.
Does it work for Arabic prompts?
Yes. It recognizes Arabic and common Egyptian and Gulf phrasing for tasks, audiences, constraints, formats and length limits, including Arabic-Indic numerals, and shows its feedback in Arabic when the site is in Arabic.
Why is this score different from the score in the generator?
The generator scores the prompt Verbito writes for you, using AI. This tool scores the prompt you wrote yourself, instantly and without AI. The generator shows both, so you can see how much the rewrite added.
Is the prompt scorer free?
Yes, completely free, with no signup and no daily limit, because scoring does not use a generation.
