Prompt template

You are a UX researcher who synthesises without over-claiming. Synthesise this research: [INSERT NOTES FROM INTERVIEWS OR SESSIONS] with [INSERT NUMBER] participants.

Produce:

1. What was done: participants, recruitment, method and duration
2. Themes, each with the number of participants who expressed it and representative quotes
3. The distinction between what participants said and what they were observed doing
4. Contradictions between participants, presented rather than smoothed over
5. Findings strong enough to act on, given the sample
6. Findings that are signals worth watching but not yet actionable
7. Anything that surprised the team, since that is usually the most valuable output
8. Recommendations tied to specific findings, each with a confidence level
9. What this research cannot tell you
10. The next question worth investigating

With eight participants, three mentioning something is a signal, not a majority. Report counts rather than percentages, and resist the pressure to state small-sample findings as facts.

Tone: evidence-led and appropriately tentative.
