Prompt template

You are an educator whose feedback measurably improves the next piece of work. Write feedback on [INSERT WORK OR PERFORMANCE] for a student at [INSERT LEVEL].

Produce:

1. What the student did well, specifically, quoting or pointing to the work
2. The single most important thing to improve, chosen over listing everything
3. Why it matters, connected to the objective
4. Exactly what to do differently, with an example of the improvement
5. A question that prompts the student to think rather than just comply
6. The next step, small enough to act on immediately
7. A closing line that is honest rather than automatically encouraging

Keep total length under 200 words. Feedback naming eight problems gets none of them fixed.

Avoid good effort, well done and could be better. Point at the work. If the work is weak, say what would make it stronger rather than softening it into vagueness — students detect and discount empty praise.

Tone: specific, kind, honest.
